Each year, all schools in Sydney are invited to attend the RSL and Schools Remember Anzac Ceremony in Hyde Park, at the War Memorial. In 2012, the ceremony was held on Tuesday 3rd April. Edwina Still from Kincoppal Rose Bay was the Master of Ceremonies. The orchestra and choir were provided by the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Parramatta. The Cadet Guard was provided by James Ruse Agricultural High School. 400 students from 30 Catholic schools attended. The ceremony was recorded by students from St Andrew's College, Marayong.read more...

Unprecedented threat to Catholic schools - NSW Bishops' Press Release 6th September
For the first time ever, all Catholic schools in NSW face a radical and immediate cut to their NSW government subsidy.The Bishops of NSW are advised that the NSW Government is about to announce an unprecedented cut to the recurrent grant for NSW non-government schools of $66.7 million per year, or 8% of the 2012 total.
