CECNSW welcomes new Education Standards Authority Board, CEO

Catholic Education Commission NSW (CECNSW) today welcomed the inaugural appointments to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
CECNSW Acting Executive Director Ian Baker said the new body - which replaces the Board of Studies, Teaching and Education Standards (BOSTES) from 1 January 2017 - has a unique opportunity to fulfil its brief to further strengthen teaching and learning in NSW. 

Funding uncertainty must be addressed early in 2017

The National Catholic Education Commission has expressed its disappointment that 2016 will end with no resolution to the future of school funding, but looks forward to working with the Commonwealth Government early in the new year to provide funding certainty for schools, school systems and parents. 

25 Catholic school students take top honours in 2016 HSC
