Overseas Students

Other Compliance

CEC NSW is the Registered CRICOS Provider for almost all Catholic schools in NSW. During 2012, the CEC Cricos Accreditation is being devolved to Diocesan Education Offices and Congregational schools consistent with the NSW Board of Studies requirements.

Enquires regarding the enrolment of Full Fee Paying Overseas Students should be made directly to the school of choice. Acceptance is dependent on Diocesan Catholic Schools Authority or Congregational school policy and availability of places. Each Diocesan Catholic Schools Authority and Congregational school sets its own scale of fees consistent with Commonwealth guidelines. CEC NSW issues "Confirmation of Enrolment for Overseas Students - Proformas" consistent with the Australian Government's visa requirements.

Information on the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, The National Code 2007 and an explanatory guide to the Code is available from the Australian Education International Department website.

CEC NSW does not promote or encourage the engagement of education agents to facilitate the enrolment of overseas students in NSW Catholic Schools. However, individual schools are free to formally contract with education agents on their own initiative.
